LIVE from South Africa

Is anyone so pumped up about this that you can feel it in your veins?!? Ok, I am not that big of a sports fan but I absolutely love watching the World Cup. I can hardly wait the 9 minutes that are left until the next game starts. I remember watching it with my family growing up...on Univision- in Spanish! I loved when any team scored a goal because the commentator would scream "GOOOOOOOOL GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL GOOOOOOOOOL" over and over again.

I am about to turn on the TV (we have bunny ears and ONLY get 2 channels: some baptist channel and....UNIVISION). So, Ashton and I will watch the games in Spanish. Maybe he'll pick up some words and say them to his grandparents...won't they be proud :)

4 years ago, after Lorin and I came back from vacations after our wedding, we drove cross-country in June. We stopped at local sports bars to watch the World Cup Games....sure it took us longer to get to Utah but its already a looon ride, so why not make it fun? We were dedicated fans, cheering for our teams while eating a burger at some scummy sports bar. I can't help but smile at those wonderful memories! However, the only thing I didn't like was that we had to watch it in English. There was no excitement in the commentator's voice. Thanks for making sports even more boring! Seriously, once we were able to watch the games on our own (Dallin's) TV, we watched it in Spanish and it was amazing. I was so pumped. Have you even seen me pumped and watching sports? Yeah.....that is what the Spanish channel does to me :)

Who are my teams? I don't really have any. I usually cheer on the Latin teams first unless they are playing the US. I don't bite the hand that feeds me.

Now, I am going to sit back, relax, drink my smoothie and attempt to cuddle with Ashton as he grunts and cheers for the little people running around chasing a ball on the TV.
